I was born in Istanbul in 1979, received the B.S. degree in physics and the B.S. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, in 2001 and 2002, respectively. I received the M.S. degree from the Technical University of Munich in 2004 and Ph.D. degree from the University of Tokyo in 2008. I worked as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Tokyo and a visiting researcher at Hiroshima University until March 2010. I returned back to my hometown and joined to Bogazici University as an assistant professor in April, 2010. European Commission seventh framework programme Marie Curie International Reintegration Grant has been supporting my research titled as “Study on Low-power Multi-Gbps Ultra-Wideband Impulse Radio at License-free UWB and 60GHz bands” since 2010.
